When I first spoke to L+A, they were such a fun a CHILL couple. We talked about what their dream wedding would look like, and the word they both mentioned was “comfortable”, so I focused the design on colors that made them happy, and we invited the guests to experience their wedding day in a cocktail style reception with a ceremony where almost all the guests stood around them and various lounges were set up in the space. We had tacos from their favorite restaurant (Nopalito) served in vintage chaffing dishes, and used custom graphics created by the groom to make it feel even more “them”. We brought in (rented) house plants and the bride chose not to carry a bouquet, so no fresh flowers were needed.
